Two from Andhra held for peddling ganja in Khammam

Khammam: The local police arrested two persons and seized 190 kilograms of ganja from their possession at Thallada on Monday. Khammam Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal, speaking to media, said on a tip-off, the Circle Inspector of Wyra conducted vehicle checks in NTR Colony in Thallada and found ganja stocked in two cars. The police nabbed two persons and seized the contraband from their possession. The ganja is worth Rs 19 lakh, said the CP.

The accused, K Narasimha Rao and L Loha Babu, are residents of Visakhapatnam in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. The duo has been carrying out illegal ganja business for the last one year, the CP added.

Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police (ACP) Muralidhar and Pooja, Wyra Assistant Commissioner of Police Prasanna Kumar, Special Branch ACP Satyanarayana, Circle Inspector Ramakanth, Thallada Sub-Inspector were present at the press meet.
