Two-day seminar held on power issues

Chevella: A two-day national seminar on 'Evolutionary Computing Applications for Electrical Engineering' was organsied at Vidya Jyothi Engineering College here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, principal of the college Dr P Venugopala Reddy said common people were facing several issues like power supply and other issues related to electricity.

Scientists, researchers should focus mainly on addressing such issues, he said. Head of the Department of EEE and conference chairman Dr Shivaprasad said 400 papers were presented at the seminar.

Retired CE of APGENCO Prof SM Jafarulla was the chief guest. Principal Dr A Padmaja, R Venkatachalam, Dr DBG Reddy, Dr CN Ravi, Dr GN Madhu, and other teaching staff were present.
