TRS won Huzurnagar bypoll by liquor, money: BJP
Huzurnagar(Suryapet): BJP State general secretary Premender Reddy has condemned the police lathi-charge on RTC workers and Opposition leaders during the Chalo Tank Bund peace march in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Addressing the media persons in Huzurnagar, he crticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his adamant attitude towards the agitating RTC workers. He recalled the key role of RTC workers during the Telangana Movement and expressed his anguish over the way they are being treated by the CM.
After winning in Huzuranagar bypoll, KCR is in illusion that people of the State are with him, he mocked. He demanded the State government to invite RTC unions for discussion unconditionally and address their demands in an amicable way.
The State unit of the BJP conducted a review meeting on party candidate's defeat in Huzurnagar byelection and decided to strengthen the party in the constituency in the coming days, he informed.
The BJP leaders said the Congress has lost its identity both at the state and national level, and added that leaders and workers of other parties have been joining BJP by considering that the saffron party is the only alternative to TRS in the state.
BJP national executive member Perala Shekar said that TRS won Huzurnagar seat by distributing huge money and liquor. He welcomed the Supreme Court verdict in Rama Janmabhoomi case. In the press meet, former MLA Sankineni Venkateshwar Rao, party leaders Bobba Bagya Reddy , Jillepally Venkateshwar Rao, Kota Rama Rao and others participated.
