TRS candidate Kavitha lost to BJP candidate Dharmapuri Arvind

TRS Nizamabad candidate Kalvakuntla Kavitha lost to BJP candidate Dharmapuri Arvind by a margin of over 69,000 votes.

In the last Lok Sabha elections, Kavitha won over Congress leader Madhuyashki Goud by a margin of 167184 votes.

Kavitha had faced strong criticism from the farmers in Nizamabad who expressed distress over the state and central government for not according remunerative price for red jowar and turmeric.

Protesting against the government, the farmers in Nizamabad filed nominations for the Lok Sabha elections.

It may be recalled that Kavitha while addressing a rally in Nizamabad had also asked farmers to protest against the centre by filing nomination from Varanasi and Amethi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi so that they can feel the distress of the farmers.
