Tribal Bhavans in every district: Minister Koppula Eshwar
Karimnagar: Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar said that the Telangana government is committed to the safety and development of the people belonging to lower castes.
He laid foundation stone for the construction of Tribal Bhavan in Karimnagar on Wednesday.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to establish new gram panchayats for tribal villages, which were earlier used to be tribal tandas, setting an example for self-rule at village-level.
KCR government aimed to construct Tribal Bhavan in all districts and Banjara Bhavan in Hyderabad, he added. These buildings are the symbols of self-respect among tribal communities, which can be used to promote the tribal culture. Minister Eshwar urged the tribals not to attack forest officials as the government is committed to resolve podu cultivation dispute.
