Collector M Rammohan Rao flagging off students’ excursion bus in Nizamabad on Friday

Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao said steps were being taken to identify and develop tourist areas in the district. On Friday, he flagged off a tour bus carrying students to tourist places in the district on World Tourism Day.

The Collector told the students that the tour will increase their knowledge and all the infrastructure is available at tourist destinations, attracting regional, national and international tourists. International tourists visit historical tourist sites. Increase in the number of tourists will create employment for local youth and also the locals will have an opportunity to learn new things from the tourists, he added.

About 60 students from BC, ST and SC Welfare Hostels are going on an excursion on World Tourism Day, that is on Friday (September 27). Collector Rao said this special bus will visit tourist places like Pochampadu, Limbadri Gutta, Sidulagutta, Apurupa Venkateswara Swamy Temple etc. The students will be explained about the importance of these areas, historical importance and other aspects. He advised the students to take advantage of this tour with fellow students to enhance their knowledge and enjoy pleasant atmosphere.

District Tourism Department in-charge officer and district cooperative officer Simhachalam was present at the event.
