Traffic awareness programme held for bus drivers in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: As several changes are taking place every day in the Laws that are being implemented, it is essential that all those in the driving field must know these changes, said Traffic police department Circle Inspector G Thirumal.
An awareness programme on traffic rules and regulations was held to the drivers, working in Alphores Educational Institutions., in the premises of E-Techno School in Karimnagar on Monday.
Attending as a chief guest at the awareness programme, Traffic CI G Thirumal said that those people, who are perfect in driving only, should take the profession and must the traffic rules strictly. Before starting the vehicle, they should check whether the vehicle is in condition or not and keep all the documents of the vehicle with them. Driving vehicles after consuming alcohol is not only danger to his life but also to those travelling in that vehicles and going on the road. Drivers must avoid consuming alcohol when they are on duty, he suggested.
Another chief guest, Traffic Circle Inspector K Nageshwar Rao said that everyone must know traffic rules and regulations that must be followed while driving vehicles, even though it is the responsibility of Traffic police to create awareness about the rules along with the changes that are taking place in Laws related to Motor Vehicle Act.
Due to drivers' negligence and rash driving, many innocent people have lost their lives during road accidents. It is a must that there should be a first-aid kit in every bus and an escort, he added.
Alphores Educational Institutions Chairman V Narender Reddy said that when the drivers drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 kmph, it is safe both for them and the students, who travelling in the school bus and must not exceed the speed limit. It is the responsibility of the drivers to pick up the children from their house and drop in school and vice versa, he added.
