Three held for bike theft

Hyderabad: Langer House police nabbed three persons including a minor boy on Wednesday for committing bike thefts. Police recovered five bikes all worth Rs 8 lakh from their possession. The accused persons were identified as D Bhaskar (19) and Mohammed Jahangir (20) along with a minor.

According to police, a complaint was lodged by one Mohammed Aslam Ibrahim (32), in which he stated that on August 22 night he parked his bike in front of his house. The next day he found his bike missing from the spot. Police registering a case under 379 IPC, took up investigation.

Police said, all the accused were addicted to bad vices, in order to meet their lavish expenses, the trio had hatched a plan to target costly bikes and commit theft by breaking the handle locks.

They used to sell the vehicles to needy customers at low prices and assure them that they will provide original papers of bike within one week. As such, trio has been involved as many as five thefts. After connecting the dots nabbed the police nabbed the accused on Wednesday.
