Three fake maoists held in Mancherial on extortion charges

Three criminals were arrested on the charges of extortion here on Thursday. They were taken into custody near Chennur crossroads. A pistol and eight bullets were seized from their possession.

The police registered a case and are probing into it. The fake Maoists are believed to have been threatening rich people and extorting money.

In a similar case, a forest officer among three fake maoists was arrested July 14, 2019 in Odisha. The Odisha police laid a trap and arrested them.
