Thieves loot Renuka Yellamma temple hundi in Kosgi

Mahbubnagar: Thieves broke open the temple hundi of Renuka Yellamma temple in Polepally village of Kosgi mandal on Thursday and decamped with an amount up Rs 1 lakh.

According to Kosgi police, some unidentified persons had entered the temple premises in the midnight and broke open up the hundi and decamped with whatever amount they could get from it.

The next morning, when the temple priest and devotees visited the temple to offer the prayers, they found notes of various denominations scattered all over the temple. Learning that some thieves had broken the temple hundi, the temple priest lodged a complaint with the police. The police have registered a case and took up the investigation
