The top priority for people's welfare: Gutha Sukender Reddy

Valigonda (Yadadri-Bhongir): Welfare of people in the State is the top priority of the State government, said Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy. Along with Bhongir MLA P Shekar Reddy on Friday, he laid foundation stone for the construction of underground drainage to be taken up with an estimated cost of Rs 12 lakh sanctioned under the 14th Finance Commission.

Later, Sukender Reddy paid tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary at Chittapuram village of Valigonda mandal in the district. Speaking on the occasion, Gutha said that the government is working hard for the uplift of poor in the State. Telangana is the only State in the country, which is providing free power to the farmers, he added.

Giving top priority to drinking and irrigation needs of the State, he mentioned that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been paying special attention for the construction of irrigation projects on both Godavari and Krishna rivers to make Telangana a fertile State. He appreciated the people for choosing Shekar Reddy as MLA of Bhongir on two occasions and he described him as a noble and committed leader.

As part of his tour, he inaugurated Gram Panchayat building constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 14 lakh in Valigonda mandal headquarters. Also, opened CC road in Goparajupally village. MPP N Ramesh Raju, ZPTC Padma, sarpanches Jayamma, Anji Reddy, Upendra and Satti Reddy and local TRS leaders were present.
