Telangana: Two district collectors go into self-quarantine

District collectors of Yadadri and Siddipet have gone into self-quarantine after the people they met during the meetings tested positive for coronavirus.

Yadadri collector Anitha Ramachandran has moved into self-quarantine after a Zilla Parishad senior executive officer tested positive for coronavirus. The collector participated in a video conference on June 5 with the officer who sat next to her. The officers and employees who got in contact with the executive officer were also advised self-quarantine.

Meanwhile, the office rooms of the district collectorate at Pagidipalli on Bhongir outskirts were sanitized. As soon as, she heard the news of the patient, the collector who was supposed to address a meeting had cancelled it and left the office and decided to remain in self-quarantine at her residence for a week.

On the other hand, Siddipet collector Venkatrama Reddy also went into self-isolation after a person who met the collector tested positive for coronavirus. At present, the person is undergoing treatment in Hyderabad. On learning about the person infected with the virus, the collector went into self-quarantine.
