Telangana Tamil Sangam plans a slew of activities
Narayanaguda: The Telangana Tamil Sangam says though it planned many programmes and events for 2020, the pandemic crippled its initiatives. Hence, it has now decided to take them up afresh in 2021, says M K Bose, its vice-president of the Sangam.
At the year-end get-together, members discussed steps to encourage teaching of Tamil over online mode, enthusing the millennials to know the classical language better were a few suggestions made to be taken up on priority. There was an active participation from women members who had already launched YouTube channels and took up varied works to keep themselves useful over the past months.
The organisers, Dharmaseelan, N Nehru Sastri, Kumararajan, Gunasekhar and Rajkumar, among others ensured that the members were kept refreshed and also enough time was given to express their opinions. The next meeting is scheduled to be held in the last week of January 2021 to initiate new events and review ongoing activities.
