Telangana High Court angry as govt. ignore court orders
The Telangana High Court on Monday expressed displeasure over the state government for not implementing its orders. "If the orders are not being followed, action will be taken against medical and health officials for violating the court's order.
Chief secretary of Medical and health department, director of the public health department will be responsible for it, the court said. The court fumed at the government for not conducting COVID-19 tests on dead bodies.
Meanwhile, the advocate general told the court that they have challenged the verdict in Supreme Court and it is yet to inquired. However, the bench clarified that the government to conduct the tests until the inquiry being done at the apex court. It also vented out anger for not conducting random coronavirus tests on the public.
"Insufficient distribution of coronavirus kits resulted in the doctors getting infected with coronavirus," the court observed. It also warned to take action if the government found reporting false coronavirus positive cases in media bulletins. The court told the government that the people will take precautionary measures when they learn about the actual spike in coronavirus cases.
Meanwhile, the health department directed the medical and health department to submit a counter affidavit by June 17.
