Suryapet: Minister Jagadish Reddy spends a day with farmer on National Farmers' Day

Suryapet: Stating that humans can survive by protecting agriculture sector in all aspects, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said called upon the farmers across the State to reduce usage of chemical fertilisers and to follow nature farming.

On National Farmers' Day, Minister Jagadish Reddy visited Bandaru Venkateshwarlu agriculture field at Narasimhulugudem village in Munagala mandal of Kodada constituency on Wednesday. He toured the 12-acre farm and inquired about the pros and cons of nature farming during an interaction with the farmer, Venkateshwarlu.

Minister Jagadish Reddy said it is the duty of everyone to encourage farmers, especially young farmers. Telangana farmers are lucky enough as they are getting water, financial help and uninterrupted power supply to get better yields. Stating that following nature farming is nothing but protecting land fertility, he told that Telangana farmers should take the lead for nature farming. The Minister lauded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for making agriculture as profitable sector in the State. There is no life to the society, if farmers were ignored and insulted, he asserted.

Minister was accompanied by Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Nature Voice spokesperson Kaki Kranti Reddy and engineer Shyam Sundar Reddy.
