Update: 2019-11-28 22:15 IST

Suryapet: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee official spokesperson Addanki Dayakar felt that it was unfortunate that a person like K Chandrashekar Rao who has no love for humanity and mercy towards the RTC workers was ruling the Telangana State, which was formed after the sacrifices of many of its people.

On Thursday, he interacted with transport corporation workers who sat on a protest at Suryapet depot for joining their duties.

Addressing the workers, the Congress leader alleged that the TRS government was trying to brand the strike of RTC workers illegal. He recalled that no single RTC worker had lost his job when they went on a strike for 27 days in the united Andhra Pradesh.

Stating that Telangana which once had surplus funds had now been made a debt-ridden State due to the visionless policies of the State government, the Congress leader added that the government wasted the public money by increasing the estimates of Kaleshwaram project abnormally.

He opined that due to increased burden of debts, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to divert the attention of people from his inefficient governance to the RTC issue.

Aam Aadmi Party district convenor Lingidi Venkateshwarlu, RTC JAC leaders B Sudhakar, Ravi Kumar, Lacchaiah, Sri Kantam, Viplav Kumar, Rajeshwari, Chaitanya, Uma Devi and others also addressed the RTC workers at the depot.
