Students must inculcate the habit of helping poor: Actor Tanikella Bharani
Mahbubnagar: Prominent film actor Tanikella Bharani took part as a chief guest at a blood donation camp organized at Jaya Prakash Narayana College of Engineering (JPNCE) in Mahbubnagar district on Wednesday.
While addressing the engineering students, the actor said that donating blood is a noble act and advised the students to donate blood as it will help save the lives of those in distress. "Blood donation is a noble gesture as it saves the lives of millions of people in distress and emergency. All through our lives, we have been taking from society. But when the time comes we should also give back to society. Particularly, the students must inculcate the habit of donating to the poor and distressed people in need. Make your occasion of the birthday or some celebrations to donate to the poor, it gives happiness and attain us the most satisfaction in life," said Tanikella Bharani.
Earlier, S Ravi Kumar, chairman of JNPCE College, welcomed the chief guest. He said Tanikella Bharani acted in more than 800 films and has been an inspiration to the youth and the general. "It is a great honor to have Tanikella Bharani as the chief guest to the blood donation camp of JPNCE. Every year we conduct blood donation camps regularly and JPNCE College apart from imparting engineering knowledge to the students. The college is also ahead in serving the society and has been taking up various welfare programs in the district," said the JPNCE chairman.
On the occasion, the JPNCE chairman also provided financial help of Rs 55,000 to Jainab Sultana, a BTech CSE student of the college.
The heads of all the departments, JPNCE principal and more than 60 staff of the college took part in the camp and donated the blood.
