Strict action if fake seeds are sold : Agriculture Officer Neethi

Nagarkurnool: In Nagar Kurnool district, extensive checks were carried out by agricultural officials and police officials to detect fake seeds. As a part of that, the mandal agriculture officer conducted ethical inspections in Bijinapally mandal. Agriculture Officer Neethi said that inspections were conducted in Shri Bhagyalakshmi Agencies Additional Agro Rythu Seva Kendra Young Pharmacy Rural Development Society and Kanakadurga Agencies in Mandal Centre.

She said that at the stage of providing quality seeds to the farmers, samples of various types of seeds, cotton, sorghum, were taken and sent to the DNA fingerprinting lab, Malakpet. She said that CCS CI Shankar participated in this program. She said that inspections were conducted in Kanakadurga Agencies SL and Traders under CCS CI Shankar. Speaking on the occasion, She warned that strict action will be taken if anyone sells fake seeds to farmers.
