Street vending zones to be set up in town

Siddipet: A meeting of the Special Town Federation (STF) was organised here on Thursday, following directions from MEPMA Director TK Sridevi. Krishna Chaitanya, the state MEPMA coordinator, urged the unions and federations to use loans sanctioned to them wisely and strive for economic development.

Prasanna Kumar, through a Powe- point presentation, explained about the formation of street vending zones, to provide encouragement to street vendors near degree college road with an estimated cost of Rs 1.3 crore by the line department officials. Municipal chairperson K Rajanarsu and MEPMA project director P Srinivas Reddy presided over the meeting. SBI Manager Umakanth, NGOs, street vendors and others were present on the occasion.
