SPM workers demand festival bonus in Asifabad

Asifabad: Sirpur Paper Mill workers along with Congress' Sirpur constituency in-charge Dr. Palvai Harish Babu submitted a representation to the labor officer demanding festival bonus to at Kagaznagar in Kumaran Bheem Asifabad district on Friday.

Harish Babu urged the Sirpur Paper Mill SPM management to give 8.33 percent festival bonus to its workers and provide drinking water facility and canteen to its workers in the paper mill.

He also remembered the assurance given by the MLA Koneru Konappa before the Assembly elections that the SPM management would give Rs30,000 to the mill workers and MLA would contribute Rs 3,000, he remembered. He also alleged that SPM is not following minimum safety standards.

Former municipal chairman Dastagiri, DCC OBC president Dasari Venkatesh, former councillors Sindam Srinivas, Sriram, party workers Yousuf, Shareef and others were present.
