Special prayers at Ananthagiri

Vikarabad: Traditional rituals were offered to the Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy on the occasion of Ratha Sapthami on Saturday. Devotees thronged the temple atop Ananthagiri Hills from early morning.

After special prayers, chariot services like Suryaprabha, Hanumantha, Muthyala Pandiri Mahotsavam, Garuda, Gaja, Simha, and Chandra were performed. Municipal chairperson of Vikarabad Manjula participated in Simha Vahana Seva, by bearing the palanquin. On the auspicious occasion, a huge number of devotees visited the Sun temple near Bugga Ramalingeshwara temple.
