Government upholds minority interests said, Padma Rao

Secunderabad: Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao Goud said that the Telangana government is committed to protection of minority interests. On Tuesday, minority leaders led by Chilukalguda masjid and Eidga committee president Mohammad Asadullah met deputy speaker to express their happiness over the passing of assembly resolution opposing CAA at his residence.

Addressing the minority leaders, Padma Rao said that the state government wants peaceful coexistence of people from all castes and religions in the state and any attempt to snatch away constitutional rights of anyone would not be brooked. The CM KCR government had been looking after welfare of all sections of the society and is also committed for welfare of minorities, he said. He assured minority leaders that they would strive to ensure that public sentiments were not harmed.

President of Jamia Masjid Mohammad Asadullah, speaking on the occasion, said that the government had regained the trust of minorities by passing the resolution and thanked CM KCR for assuaging

their fears. Various Muslim minority association leaders thanked the CM KCR and deputy speaker on the occasion and promised to extend their support to the TRS government. Among those who met deputy speaker were Mohammad Jahangir, Mohammad Murtuza, Mohammad Asadullah and others.
