School flouts rules, slapped with notices

Zaheerabad: As the new academic year is about to begin, several education institutions are coming up with a huge publicity. Parents who are not in a position to verify the genuineness of the institutions are easily falling prey for their colourful publicities.

Several institutions are resorting to irregularities in grabbing the attention of the parents and winning their confidence. Sri Chaitanya School is allegedly admitting the students and giving them fee receipts in the name of their Khammam branch.

Mandal Education Officer (MEO) Basavaraj came down heavily on the management of Sri Chaitanya School in the town for giving admissions for the academic year 2019-20, without any permission. He issued notices to the school staff.

He told them to start admission process only after getting permission from the District Education Officer (DEO). The MEO warned the staff of Sri Chaitanya School not to conduct any operations without permissions. He found fault with the school giving fee receipts on the name of Khammam branch. Local residents expressed their anger about the way many academic institutions are resorting to irregularities.

The MEO said that notices were issued to the school, which is located at Pastapur X Roads. He said that the management of the school has been publicising with banners, pamphlets without necessary permissions from the education department.

The MEO inspected the school upon the complaints received from the parents. He ordered the school staff to refund the amount received from 15 students. He warned them of strict action if rules are violated. The banners and posters belonged to the educational institution were removed.
