SCCL appoints 412 workers under Karunya scheme
Kothagduem: The long pending issues of the works of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) will finally be fulfilled on Wednesday as the company has decided to appoint 412 workers eligible under Karunya Scheme.
There were various issues that had delayed these appointments, however, CMD Balaram Naik took charge and sped up the work. Meanwhile, appointment orders to these workers are all set to be issued in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
In this regard, the The SCCL will conduct a programme at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramaka along with Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, MPs, and MLA’s of coal belt areas will attend the programme. The company has made all arrangements for the event to be a grand success.
It may be noted that the SCCL gave opportunity to the workers who were unfit by allowing their kin in the company (under the Karunya Scheme) to receive appointment. Later, the medical board selected 412 candidates from different families who were found eligible under the scheme.
Vanga Venkat, an AITUC leader expressed happiness on appointments under Karunya Scheme. He said that the AITUC fought against these issues for a long time. He said the leaders of the AITUC met the Chief Minister and Energy Minister to appeal for the appointments, which were now turning into reality.
