Sangareddy: Collector M Hanumantha Rao orders full alert to combat Coronavirus
Sangareddy: People need not unduly worry about the Coronavirus, said District Collector M Hanumantha Rao. He instructed tahasildars, MDOs and health officers on how to fight its spread in the district, through a video conference held from the collectorate on Wednesday. He directed the officials to create widespread awareness on preventive measures of the virus.
"Those who have come from foreign countries in the last 15 days and who are accompanying them should be kept under observation in isolation centre. In each village, the local panchayat secretary, VRO, ASHA activists, Anganwadi workers, other village-level employees and local public representatives should work together to create awareness on personal hygiene and surroundings cleanliness. Action should be taken with the cooperation of local representatives to prevent weddings and meetings. No meetings should be allowed," the Collector said.
Rao said that the officials in the Maharashtra and Karnataka border areas should be alert and arrange medical personnel to deal with suspected cases. All teams should be on alert for the next 15 days as this period is very crucial, he added. Additional Collector Veera Reddy, ZP CEO Ravi, RDO Nagesh, DM&HO and others were present.
