Rich tributes paid to Jagjivan Ram

Toopran: Several leaders of the Backward Classes garlanded the statue of the late Union Labour Minister and former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram's statue on the premises of bus stand here on Friday on the occasion of his birthday.

BC union state secretary Venkatolla Shiva Krishna Goud and district union vice- president highlighted the reforms and welfare measures introduced by Jagjeevan Ram in the government. They said that he served as Union Minister in various capacities with great distinction. Many BC union leaders were present on the occasion.
