Police Martyrs Week celebrations from today in Mahbubnagar
Mahbubnagar: To commemorate the Police Martyrs' Day on October 21, the Mahbubnagar district police have decided to conduct 'Police Martyrs' Week' celebrations in the district, on Monday. Accordingly, the Mahbubnagar police department officials planned a week-long schedule to organise various programme and events in the district from October 15-21.
As part of the Police Martyrs Week celebrations, the police officials have decided to conduct blood donation camps, sports and athletic competitions for the youth and various other activities to strengthen the bond of trust and reliability between the police and the public.
While giving a call to all to participate in the celebrations, Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari said, "The police have been working round-the-clock to keep law and order and restore peace in the country. Many police personnel, as part of their duty to protect the civilians and to safeguard law and order, have laid down their lives. It is time for all of us to remember those martyrs and as a tribute to them, we are going to conduct various activities in the district."
