Officials gear up for Parishad vote counting in Warangal

Warangal: The arrangements for the counting of Parishad elections' votes should be in place, the Warangal Rural district Collector M Haritha said.

Speaking to MPDOs through a video conference here on Friday, she directed them to ensure arrangements for the counting of votes polled in Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad (ZPTC and MPTC) elections held in three phases.

It may be mentioned here that the State Election Commission has postponed the counting of ZPTC and MPTC election votes indefinitely.

"With the help of BSNL, we will have webcasting facility at all counting centres," she said. She told them to issue identity cards to those employees deputed for the counting process. With the summer is in peak, there is a need for installing air-coolers at the counting centres, she said.

The Collector told the officials to arrange media centres at all counting venues. DRO Hari Singh and DRDO Sampath were among others who were present on the occasion.
