Now lodge police complaint on phone in Suryapet: SP R Venkateswarlu

Suryapet: People who face problem in lodging complaint with the police and approaching the higher police officials to get solution for their problems can do so through their smartphones.

District SP R Venkateswarlu on Thursday formally launched a WhatsApp no to receive complaints from the people who are unable to approach SP office personally. People can now lodge their complaint on WhatsApp number 9390564907 in the Central Complaint Cell (CCC) headed by one SI and the staff who will register the complaint.

The police official will give a reference number for maintaining transparency and providing security to the complainants and then it will be forwarded to the officers concerned for immediate redressal. In accordance with the instructions given by DGP, this policy is being implemented to solve problems of the people who need not come to police station from long distances to lodge complaint.

The SP further informed that people can approach them through social media, Facebook: SP Suryapet , Twitter : @spsuryapet and WhatsApp: 9390564907. At the same time the SP appealed to the people not to misuse this facility by lodging fake and false complaints.
