Non-stop flight from Hyderabad to United States from Jan 15

A non-stop flight from Hyderabad to the United States has been announced by the GMR-led Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in the city. The non-stop Air India flight will be operated to Chicago from January 15.

According to an official release from the airport, the airline will be operating with a Boeing 777-200 aircraft, with a seating capacity of 238 including 8 first class, 35 business class, 195 economy class.

With over 7,00,000 passengers annually, Hyderabad-USA-Hyderabad is the largest unserved passenger Origin & Destination market between India and the US. "Hyderabad is a gateway to South & Central India, and is a preferred and the largest transit hub," the release said.

There would be around 2,20,2000 passengers every year from nearby cities like Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rajahmundry, Bhopal and Tirupati visiting the United States.

On the other hand, airlines like British Airways have also resumed operations connecting Hyderabad to the UK.
