Nizamabad: 2,216 liquor shops to be opened the district
Nizamabad: The State government has issued a notification to open 2,216 liquor stores in Nizamabad district.
The new Liquor Policy will be implemented from November 1, 2019 to October 1, 2021. The applicant has to pay Rs 2 lakh to apply for a liquor store license. It will not be refunded to the applicant unless a shop is not allotted.
In the past, its fee were only Rs 1 lakh. This time it was raised. The license-holder is selected by lottery. The liquor stores will be open from 10 am to 10 pm. The license fee is subject to six times on the sales taxes. Taxes then charged. Previously there were only four slabs. Liquor traders have to pay a license fee of Rs 50 lakh to get a shop in habitation, which has a population of five thousand.
To get a shop in habitation, which has a population of 50,000, you have to pay a license fee of Rs 55 lakh. In case of a population of 1 lakh, the license fee is Rs 60 lakh. In a town with a population of five lakh, a license fee of Rs 65 lakh must be paid. The city has a population of under 20 lakh and the fee is Rs 85 lakh.
In cities with a population of over 20 lakh, the license fee is of Rs 110 lakh should be paid by the licensed lottery.
