Night temp markedly above normal in Telangana
Hyderabad: Rain occurred at a few places in Ranga Reddy and Sangareddy, among ten districts in Telangana, during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, thanks to the vigorous northeast monsoon.
The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) were: : Maheswaram (RR), Damaragidda (Narayanpet) 3 each, Waddepalli (Jogulamba Gadwal), Maddur ( Narayanpet), Sircilla , Sangareddy 2 each, according to the IMD bulletin.
There was one cm rain each in Narayanpet, Tadwai, Munipalli, Narayankhed, Yellareddypet, Kosgi, Gambhiraopet, Dharmaram, Karimnagar, Sadasivanagar, Jukkal, Manopad. Generally cloudy sky with light rain is the forecast for January 8. Fog/mist in the morning and partly cloudy sky later is the outlook during the period January 9-11.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in Hyderabad during the next six days is to be 19, 19, 18, 18, 17 and 17 respectively. The bulletin said the night temperatures were markedly above normal by 5 degrees Celsius or more at a few places in Telangana.
They were appreciably above normal ranging from 3.1 to 5 deg C at one or two places. The lowest minimum temperature of 16 deg C was recorded in Nalgonda.
