NGO battles land mafia’s attempt to grab govt land
Mahabubnagar: The NGO Nenu Saitam has raised serious allegations concerning the encroachment of 25 acres of government land located in front of the Rural Police station in Mahabubnagar. The NGO has claimed that the area is under threat from the Land Mafia, who are allegedly colluding with government officials to obtain permission for real estate development on the illegally occupied land.
Diddi Praveen Kumar, the president of Nenu Saitam NGO, has been vocal about this issue, having previously addressed it and even written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the matter. Despite initial efforts to curb the encroachment, the NGO states that the Land Mafia’s attempts have resurfaced, particularly concerning the 25-acre prime land adjacent to NH 167, opposite the Rural Police station in the district.
Meanwhile, the NGO has taken proactive steps to address the situation, including reaching out to the district collector and providing detailed information about the land in question. They have received assurances from the collector that a thorough investigation will be conducted.
