New pay scales for teaching staff in varsities, colleges
Hyderabad: The teaching staff in the State universities and the government degree colleges will get new pay scale with effect from July.
According to the new revised pay sales, an Assistant Professor at the Academic Level-10 will draw a salary in the pay scale of Rs 57,700 to Rs 1,82,400.
Similarly, an Assistant Professor of Senior Grade Scale at the Academic Level-11 will draw a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 68,900 to 2,05,500.
In regard to the Associate Professor at the Academic Level -13A, the salary would be in the pay scale of Rs. 1,31,400 to 2,17,100.
Likewise, a Professor at the Academic Level-14 will draw a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 1,44,200 to 2,18,200 and a Senior Professor at the Academic Level-15 will draw a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 1,82,200 to 2,24,100.
However, the pay of Vice-Chancellor shall be fixed at Rs.2,10,000 with the existing special allowance of Rs. 5000 per month.
In regard to the pay of Principals in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Colleges, the principals of the Undergraduate Colleges pay will be equivalent to the pay of Associate Professor of the Academic Level 13A with rationalised entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400, along with a special allowance of Rs.2000 per month.
Similarly, in case of principles of the Postgraduate Colleges, the pay scale shall be equivalent to the pay of Professor at the Academic Level 14 with rationalised entry pay of Rs.1,44,200, in addition to a special allowance of Rs 3,000 per month. That apart, it also said that the existing pay scale of the person appointed as Principal shall be protected.
The percentage of HRA is applicable to those working Hyderabad, Warangal and remaining parts of the State would be as per the clarification of the Union Ministry of Finance dated July 1, 2017.
Correspondingly, the pay scales of the librarians and physical education and sports staff working in the universities and colleges in regular mode are also increased.
