Narsampet : Science Congress organised

Narsampet (Warangal Rural): The Telangana State Council of Science and Technology (TSCOST) in association with Department of School Education and SCERT, Telangana, has organised Warangal Rural District Level Science Congress as part of 27th National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) 2019 at Daffodils High School here on Thursday. The focal theme of the NCSC was Science, Technology and Innovation for a Clean, Green and Healthy Nation.

Secondary Education Regional Joint Director and District Educational Officer P Rajeev said that the aim of the NCSC is to nurture the students to develop their critical thinking ability. "NCSC inculcates a sense of exploration, innovation and discovery among the children besides making them to gain knowledge through hands-on experience," he said.

NCSC Warangal Rural District Co-ordinator Katanguru Ramgopal Reddy said that the students worked on sub themes such as Ecosystem, Health, Hygiene, Sanitation, Waste to Wealth Society, Culture, Livelihoods and Traditional Knowledge System to showcase their talent. "It's a great opportunity for the students to showcase their creativity in solving societal problems with innovative projects," he said.

District Science Officer Dr K Srinivas said that nearly 100 projects were submitted from different schools. Of which 5 projects have been selected for the State Level NCSC to be held from September 14 to 16 in Khammam. Those selected for State Level NCSC are... ZPSS Nadikuda, TSMS, Nekkonda, BITS Narsampet, ZPSS Budhraopet and Disneyland High School Damera. School correspondent Chinthala Narender, Academic Coordinator G Kiran and Science Forum President D Anil Kumar were among others present.
