Naranyanpet begins civic poll preparations

Narayanpet: With the municipal elections fast-approaching, the Narayanpet district administration has started early preparation for the same. In this regard, on Tuesday, District Collector S Venkat Rao, conducted a training programme for all the polling officers in the district and instructed them to get ready for the upcoming elections.

Addressing the polling officers at a training camp conducted at a local private function hall, the District Collector said it was the responsibility of each and every polling officer and assistant polling officer at the polling booths to see to it that polling process was conducted in a peaceful manner without giving scope for any kind of errors.

"We have begun the polling preparation for the municipal elections and as part of that, we held a training camp for officials attending the polling duties. We have given them clear instructions as to how to go ahead with the polling process and how to issue ballot papers, mark the fingers and other procedures needed to be taken up during the polling process," said the District Collector.

As many as 19 officials from Narayanpet, 22 officials from Makthal and 12 officials from Kosgi took part in the training programme.
