Nalgonda: RTC workers obstruct Zilla Parishad meeting

Nalgonda: The workers of the State-run transport corporation led by JAC leaders and the leaders of opposition parties of Communist Party of India, Congress, CPM and Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday took part in a protest held on the premises of Zilla Parishad office in Nalgonda where the general body meeting was scheduled to take place.

Protestors obstructed Government Whip in Legislative Council Karne Prabhakar while he was entering the office and raised slogans against the government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and demanded them to address the RTC workers issues in the interest of common people in the State.

Meanwhile, Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, addressing the protestors alleged that the Chief Minister was eyeing RTC assets and hatching plans to hand over the properties to private persons for huge kickbacks. "The Chief Minister will bite the dust if he behaves like a dictator with regard to the strike of RTC workers," Komati stated.
