Nagarkurnool: Police arrest 2 house burglars

Nagarkurnool: The Kalwakurthy police have arrested two thieves and recovered 40 grams of gold, 1.30 kilograms of silver and about Rs. 10,000 from their possession on Monday. According to Kalwakurthy DSP Puppa Reddy, the two persons Gopal and Chennaiah, from Kalwakurthy and Achampet are currently residing in Hyderabad and they are working in some private companies.

However, whenever they come to their native place, they resort to burglaries and target the houses which are locked and located in secluded places.

During the past 2-3 years these two thieves have been involved in various thefts in Kalwakurthy, Shandagar, Nagarkurnool and Achampet areas. Gopal who is a resident of Kalwakurthy, has a past history of involvement in robbery cases. Based on the clues secured by the police, the police traced him out and on enquiring further he revealed the name of another associated Chennaiah.

The modus operandi of these two thieves is that whenever they come to their native place they break into some houses and decamp with valuables and flee to Hyderabad. "Upon getting vital clues we could successfully trace one thief named Gopal. Upon further enquiring with him we could also trace out Chennaiah and arrested both of them. Police recovered about 4.5 totals of gold, 1.30 kgs of silver and Rs. 10,000 from their possession. Police registered a case and investigating it further," said the DSP.
