MLA inaugurates red gram procurement centre in Amangal
Kalwakurthy: Giving hope for the red gram farmers, Kalwakurthy MLA Jaipal Yadav said that the State government is doing its best to rescue the farming community and it will ensure procurement of red gram from the farmers at minimum support price (MSP) and there is no need for the farmers to worry.
Speaking at the launch of a new red gram procurement centre in Amangal agriculture market yard in Kalwakurthy constituency on Saturday, the MLA expressed his concern that the Central government is putting a limit on the procurement of red gram from the farmers. However, the State government is taking all necessary initiatives to ensure that all the red gram farmers will be provided justice and all their produce will be procured at the procurement centres in the coming days.
He hailed the initiatives taken up by the State government to complete all the pending irrigation projects and thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for taking up new projects in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district.
"Today every farmer in the State is happy, not just because the State government is giving input subsidy to them in the form of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes but providing irrigation water to more than eight lakh acres for the past two years. Each and every farmer is growing all kinds of agriculture products, red gram, paddy, groundnut etc, have been yielding well with a huge harvest of these crops, which really improved the economic status of farmers. All this happened because of the irrigation water provided by the State government," the MLA stated.
