Minister G Jagadish Reddy distributes Tohfa packs to Muslims in Suryapet dist

Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy distributed Tohfa packs to 5,000 Muslim families at Rayanigudem in Suryapet on Saturday.

Each pack consists of rice, dry fruits and 10 types of essential commodities that could be used in making dishes on the occasion of Eid festival.

He spent Rs 50 lakh on Ramzan Thofa and distributed the packs personally to all Muslim families in Rayanigudam. Speaking on the occasion, he described Telangana as confluence of Hindu and Muslims.

He said, CM KCR took all measures to rescue the people of the State during ongoing lockdown. He advised Muslims to celebrate Eid festival happily but maintain social distance. He asked them take care of their health till the coronavirus vaccine is developed.

He was accompanied by Municipal Chairman Annapurna, District Library Chairman Nimmala Srinivas, DCMS Chairman Vatti Janaiah Yadav, ZPTC GD Bixam , MPP Ravinder Reddy, TRS leader Ganduri Prakash, Muslim religious elders and local party leaders.
