Met sounds heatwave alert for next 3 days
Hyderabad: In a warning to the people of Telangana, the Met department said on Monday that on May 21 heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in all districts.
The department bulletin also warned of thunderstorms with gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) are likely to occur on May 22 at isolated places in Siddipet, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad among 18 districts.
The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places across Telangana from May 21 to 24. No large change during the period 25-27 is the weather outlook. According to the bulletin, isolated rain occurred in the State.
The highest maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nizamabad along with Bhadrachalam, Khammam, Medak & Ramagundam. The other day temperatures in Telangana were: Adilabad, Hanamkonda, Hyderabad & Nalgonda all 43, Mahabubnagar 42, Hakimpet & Dundigal 41.
