Mass Aksharabhyasam marks Badi Bata in Narayanpet

Narayanpet: With an aim to attract children above five years of age towards government schools in Narayanpet district, a mass 'Aksharabhyasam' programme was held at the Government Primary School in Laxmipur village of Narayanpet mandal on Monday.

District Collector S Venkat Rao took part in the programme and launched the 'Aksharabhyasam' by letting the children write letter of Telugu alphabet on the slates amidst chanting of vedic hymns.

Addressing the people present on the occasion, Collector urged the parents to join their children in Government schools as the government was providing all necessary facilities needed for the students and at the same time appointing well-qualified and experienced faculty to teach them. He cautioned parents to not to fall into the trap of private schools, who are fleecing them with exorbitant fee.

Narayanpet MLA S Rajender Reddy along with district education officials took part in the programme. The MLA said that after the TRS government had taken the charge, the face of education system in the State had completely changed and now people were preferring government schools to private ones. Therefore, he urged the people to send their children to government schools for the bright future.
