MANUU Chancellor accuses VC of shielding accused persons in sexual harassment cases

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Chancellor Firoz Bakht Ahmed on Monday alleged that the university's Vice-Chancellor Dr. Aslam Parvaiz has tried to misguide the world by stating that the two sexual harassment cases have been settled. He alleged that VC's claim was false and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) which probed into the allegation was fake.

"Truth is that the VC himself has been the biggest fraud and he never shared the ICC reports of the two victims stating that those were 'confidential'. This is ludicrous. The VC, Registrar and all the office staff can have access to the report but not the first and senior-most officer - the Chancellor. There are skeletons in the cupboard of the VC and that's why he hasn't shared those reports. This is a huge annihilation of rules and regulations. The V-C is faithfully shielding these chronic harassers," Chancellor Firoz Bakht Ahmed alleged in a media release today.
