Mancherial: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) State secretary Ramshetty Narender launched 'National Register of Unemployed' (NRU) to highlight the growing rate of unemployment in the country, in Mancherial on Tuesday.

Lamenting that several highly educated graduates are suffering due to unemployment, Narender alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is diverting the burning issue of unemployment by highlighting Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and other issues. Reminding that Modi had promised to provide two crore jobs to the unemployed youth before the elections, he criticised that the PM had failed to provide even 10 lakh jobs.

Modi not even taking any steps now to solve the unemployment problem in the country, he added. Narender said that the youth do not want NRC but jobs to eke out living. The National Youth Congress had launched 'Missed call campaign' to register the unemployed youth in the country. The leader called upon the youth to give a missed call on a tollfree number 8151994411 to register their names.

Youth Congress constituency secretary Shanigarapu Manoj, Jadi Raj Kumar, Bhukya Praveen Kumar, Kumar, Santosh, Prashanth, Rafi and others were present.
