Mancherial: Centre of Excellence student selected for Azim Premji University
Mancherial: A student of Telangana Social Welfare Residential School for Boys (Centre of Excellence) has been selected for an undergraduate maths course in the prestigious Azim Premji University (APU).
The university conducted three-phase test at all India level for which lakhs of students attended to get a seat to study world class accredited course management, said Principal Inala Saidulu.
Speaking with the media here on Wednesday, Principal Saidulu said that the COE student, Mudimadugula Uttam, who is studying Intermediate II year (MPC), got selected for the undergraduate maths course in the university from the joint Adilabad district.
Bellampalli MLA Durgam Chinnaiah said that the university conducts this exam at national level each academic year and there will be a 3-level exam - prelims, mains and interview - and the most talented only will get a seat. He congratulated the student for passing through all three level tests and for grabbing the seat with pure merit at all India level.
The COE staff congratulated Uttam and his parents M Srinivas and Diparani. Vice-Principal Pramod Kumar, teaching staff Sriram, Varman, M Ramesh, Lakshminarayana and others were present.
