Make arrangements at counting centres: Peddapalli Collector
Peddapalli: District Collector A Sri Devasena ordered the district officials to make all necessary arrangements at the counting centres for conducting the counting of votes of Parishad elections. She inspected the counting centres set up at Government Degree and PG College in Godavarikhani and Mother Teresa Engineering College in Peddapalli on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Devasena ordered the officials concerned to take perfect steps for counting of votes of Parishad elections along with making all necessary arrangements at the counting centres. The counting of votes of ZPTC and MPTC elections of Dharmaram, Peddapalli, Aligedu, Julapalli, Odela, Sultanabad and Srirampur mandals will be held at the counting centres established at Mother Teresa Engineering College in Peddapalli and the counting of votes of ZPTC and MPTC elections held in Palakurthi, Kamanpur, Manthani, Muttaram, Anthargam and Ramagiri mandals will be held at the counting centre at Government Degree and PG College in Godavarikhani.
The Collector ordered police officials to make tight security arrangements at the counting centres as the counting process will be held on June 4 with as many as 1,200 staff, deployed for the process along with arranging special room for the media personnel at the counting centre.
The officials also told to arrange two computers in every counting room along with installing two CCTV cameras. In view of severe summer arrange cool drinking water facility at the counting centres along with lassi packets. Joint Collector Vanaja Devi, DCP Sudarshan Goud, Peddapalli RDO Upender Reddy, Peddapalli ACP Venkataramana Reddy, Godavarikhani ACP Upendar, Liaison officer Vinod Kumar were present along with others.
