Long queues for urea
Update: 2019-09-14 03:07 IST
Despite the tall claims by the Telangana State government that there were adequate quantities of urea, farmers in several villages in majority of districts stood in long queues in front of local agricultural offices since early hours to collect their quota of urea, which is the main component for cultivation of crops, especially for paddy in the present kharif season.
The ministers and other leaders of ruling party maintain that they have not received adequate quantities of urea from the Centre. However, the Union ministers contend that they have already supplied the fertilizer to the state.
