MLA asks people to be alert

LB Nagar: Musi River Front Development Corporation chairman and local legislator Devireddy Sudheer Reddy has called upon everyone to cooperate with the lockdown imposed by the state government. "The restrictions are not to trouble people but to prevent the deadly virus COVID 19.

Everyone should follow self-discipline by not coming onto roads until and unless they have any emergency. People who returned from overseas should voluntarily come forward and give their details. Personal hygiene will help in some extent to protect oneself from falling prey to Cororna," he said.

30,000 masks distributed

The MLA took an initiative and with the help of self-help groups and women leaders and activists started making sanitisers for 10 days now. He along with his spouse Kamala Sudheer Reddy were seen making sanitisers at their house on Tuesday. He appreciated corporators and those involved in taking up the imitative and serving people in the need of hour. "About 30,000 masks and 30,000 sanitisers have been distributed so far. The sanitisers being made here would be distributed to police staff, government hospital staff and those living in slums. Jagam Goverdhan has donated cloth for preparing 1,500 masks. The masks will be distributed in Rytu Bazaar and to kirana store organizers," he added.

Sudheer Reddy urged people to be more careful. He said children and older people shouldn't come out. The state government is trying its best to prevent the spread of deadly virus. Everyone should stick to homes and thereby help prevent the disease
