Landowners face untold woes due to technical glitches in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: The government has embarked on land consolidation with an aim to solve many years of unsolved land issues. The process has been going on for two years, but they are some technical glitches causing untold trouble to landowners on the Dharani website. Many (pattadars) land holders continue to wander around the Tahsildar's office to get their issues resolved.
With the arrival of new passbooks, Dharani created the website. All land details have to be registered online but technical problems have become an obstacle. There are many difficulties being faced including registrations of newly purchased land, transfer of land to legal heirs, and etc. Due to technical glitches on the website, it is alleged that the revenue officials are looking for corrupt means to take advantage of the situation. As per sources, some Tahsildars work overnight sometimes to clear up the land records problems hoping to get top executives praise.
The Tadvai mandal is first in Kamareddy district with a total number of 2,70,345 pattadars, of which 2,41,936 are digital signatures and 28,401 pending accounts.
