KTR congratulates SHE Teams for completing 5 Years

Hyderabad: Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday congratulated Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, DGP M Mahendar Reddy and all other senior police officials for SHE teams successfully completing five years.

The Minister took to Twitter and tweeted, "within a span of 5 years, SHE teams successfully addressed 33,700 cases. From nabbing offenders to counselling minor delinquents, SHE teams played a major role in curbing harassment of women in public places."

He said by taking protection and safeguarding women rights as their top priority, the SHE teams has conducting campaigns creating awareness among women regarding their rights due to which the victims and depressed women are approaching the SHE teams to get rid of their problems.

In view of the resounding success of SHE teams in Hyderabad, government is mulling to replicate the model in rest of the State, according to police sources.
